Code of the Crew — What We Know, What We Keep, and What We Don't

Last updated: April 2026  |  Emerald Isle, North Carolina

Ahoy, matey. Before ye set sail on our waters, we want ye to know what information this here ship collects, why we collect it, and how we keep it safe in the hold. We have no interest in plundering your personal treasure — this policy tells ye straight.

What Information We Collect

This site is a coming soon page. We do not collect your name, email, or any personal information directly. However, our lookout in the crow's nest — Google Analytics — automatically logs the following when ye visit:

  • Your approximate location (by city or region, not your exact coordinates)
  • The type of device, browser, and operating system ye are using
  • Which pages ye visit and how long ye stay aboard
  • How ye found us (search engine, social media, direct)
  • Your IP address (collected by Google, anonymized before it reaches us)

Why We Collect It

We use this information only to understand how our crew is finding us and to improve the experience before we open for the 2026 season. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell it, trade it, or give it to any third party other than Google Analytics for the purpose described above.

Google Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4), a service provided by Google LLC. Google may use the data collected to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network. You can learn more about how Google handles data at policies.google.com/privacy.

To opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites, ye can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Cookies

Google Analytics places small cookies on your device to distinguish visitors and track sessions. We do not set any additional cookies ourselves. If ye prefer a cookie-free voyage, ye can disable cookies in your browser settings or use the opt-out link above.

Third-Party Links

Our site links to our Ship Store at saltypiratestore.com and to our social media pages on Facebook and Instagram. Once ye leave our ship and board theirs, their own privacy policies apply. We are not responsible for the waters they sail.

Children's Privacy

Salty Pirate Water Park is a family destination, but this website does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. If ye believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will remove it from our logs promptly.

Your Rights

Depending on where ye hail from, ye may have the right to access, correct, or delete information collected about you. Since we collect no personal data directly, most requests should be directed to Google. If ye have questions or concerns about this policy, ye can reach us at:
